NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND ELECTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO THE LEGAL VOTERS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MONROE, FIRE DISTRICT NO. 3 that a Fire District Election will be held on Saturday February 18, 2012 between the hours of 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM prevailing time, in Monroe Township.  (See below for applicable polling places)

 

ABSENTEE  BALLOT APPLICATIONS can be obtained from the Township Clerk,  hours 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily, and mailed to:

PETITIONS for all candidates for Commissioner have to be filed no later than 4:30 PM Friday, January 20, 2011 at the District Fire Station, 16 Centre Drive, Monroe Township.

 

Information regarding Ward and District boundaries is available from the Township Clerk, hours 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM daily. Information regarding Fire District boundaries that do not coincide with the Ward/District boundaries will be available in the 16 Centre Drive Fire Station commencing January 20, 2011.

 

POLLING PLACES for said election are as follows:

 

ROSSMOOR COMMUNITY CLUBHOUSE at Rossmoor Drive: For actual residents of Rossmoor only

 

GREENBRIAR AT WHITTINGHAM CLUBHOUSE at Whittingham Drive: For actual residents of Greenbriar/Whittingham only

 

REGENCY AT MONROE CLUBHOUSE at Country Club Drive: For actual residents of Regency at Monroe only

FIREHOUSE at the intersection of Schoolhouse Road and Buckelew Ave. (Route 522): All other residents of Fire District 3


 

A PUBLIC HEARING to adopt the 2012 budget of Fire District 3 of Monroe Township will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2011 in conjunction with the District’s regular monthly meeting at 7 PM, at the Fire Station located at 16 Centre Drive. A copy of the approved budget is included with the Legal Notices in this edition of the Newspaper; a copy may also be obtained at the Fire Station during the week preceding the Public Hearing or on the night of the Public Hearing.

We would like to thank everyone that utilized our battery program in 2011. Once again this program has been a success for both the homeowners as well as Monroe Township Fire District 3. We hope to see everyone again starting again next fall.
