This 2008 Seagrave Tanker is currently stationed out of the Centre
Drive firehouse. When the need arises for its response, firefighters
are diverted from the Ladder to respond with the Tanker. The majority
of the funding for the purchase of this piece was acquired through a
federal grant. Since a considerable portion of town is without fire
hydrants, tankers are a necessity to bring a larger volume of water to
the fire scene, then through means of a shuttle fill at the closest
water source and maintain a constant supply of water to firefighters at
the scene.
