Since he was a child, Jason always had an
interest in helping his community. He started
out by joining the Boy Scouts of America at the
age of 12, gaining experience in first aid,
leadership skills and the great rewards of
community service. Jason attended St.
Joseph?s High School of Metuchen, earning his
diploma in 1992.
In 1993, a close friend had asked him if he was
interested in volunteering his time at the Central
Monroe Volunteer Fire Company. Jason
eagerly accepted his friend?s invitation and
joined the department. During the time he
joined, Jason was a student at Middlesex
County College where he earned his associates
degree in business and later transferred to
Mercer County College, obtaining a degree in
Mortuary Science.

Through his years of service to the fire department, Jason attended a variety of classes at the Middlesex
Fire Academy to help better his education in the fire service and related fields. In 1999, Jason made a
major career choice by becoming a full-time paid firefighter/ fire inspector at Monroe Twp. Fire District
3. In his spare time, Jason works part-time at Shop-Rite and volunteers as a firefighter with the East
Brunswick Fire District # 1. He also is involved in outdoor sports such as kayaking and mountain biking
while being a season ticket holder for the New Jersey Devils. He also enjoys spending time with his
chocolate lab Margo. Jason?s nickname around the fire station is ?Lunchbox?.
